BDUSMI Control Tactics Practice Test

Takeaway disarm in RCAT is the method focused on removing the weapon from the attacker and bringing it under your control, using a controlled, leverage-based action that sequences toward safety and continued control. In the RCAT taxonomy, this is labeled as a firearm disarm with the Takeaway cue, which precisely signals the mechanism: disarm the opponent by taking the firearm away. That’s why the option that names “R.C.A.T. Firearm Disarm (Takeaway)” is the best match. The other options describe different actions—pistol strikes aim to create an opening through impact rather than removing the weapon; rifle retention circle twist centers on keeping hold of a rifle to prevent loss; the elbow strip is a retention-oriented move to separate the weapon while maintaining control. So, the Takeaway disarm label is the one that aligns with the described technique.
